Patterns for Success Drum Major and Leadership Workshop Vivace Productions, Inc. is proud to present their inaugural partnership with Bobby Lambert and the Patterns for Success Drum Major and Leadership Workshop at Kutztown University. For 25 years, Bobby has been working to build confident student leaders all over the country through summer workshops and clinics, as well as leading the Bands of Wando High School since 2014.
Patterns for Success Drum Major and Leadership Workshop
This workshop will focus on the following elements of Drum Major success:
- Increased Knowledge – Drum Majors will learn about different conducting patterns as well as the essentials of leadership on and off the podium.
- Teaching Techniques – Your Drum Major will learn how to teach their peers about body movement, marching techniques, and physical endurance.
- Visual Skills – Conducting patterns and performance countenance are integral to the success of the band and overall effect of a show.
- Music – Students will learn about reading a score, cues, and how to get the best musical performance from your band.
- Calling Commands – an essential component of moving a band from point A to point B, students will learn the order of commands, and how to use them for efficiency in their unit.
Workshops will be held in both small and large group sizes – providing many opportunities for interactive and engaged learning. A strong emphasis on can-do/positive attitude concepts helps form a solid foundation in each student attending this workshop. Whether you are a veteran, new, or aspiring Drum Major, this workshop is for you!
