About Us

Our History

Vivace Productions, Inc. was founded by Dr. John W. Villella in 1996 as a continuation of the forward-thinking and renowned programs founded in the 1970’s by Dr. James R. Wells and Educational Resources. Initially the Marching Band and Band Front Conference at West Chester University by Educational Resources was the only workshop of its kind that was available to students and educators. A second workshop was added in 1984 at Lafayette College, and in 1986 the Band Leadership Training Program was developed featuring Dr. Tim Lautzenheiser and Professor George N. Parks.

What We Do?

Vivace Productions is an educational company that provides training for students and teachers in the Marching Arts. They provide year round workshops in Leadership Training and Marching Band Training, including Drum Major, Battery Percussion, Woodwinds and Brass, Front Ensemble Percussion and Color Guard.

In addition, we host a yearly Collegiate Marching Band Festival in the fall to highlight area colleges and assist them in the recruitment of the future band members.

If you are interested in hosting one of our programs, please contact us.

Music is vital to the human spirit. Vivace Productions, Inc.’s mission is to encourage the development of music students and educators; focusing on leadership, excellence in performance, and state of the art instruction.
